Southern Charm

Free street parking is available throughout downtown Blue Ridge, although it can fill up quickly during busy weekends, holidays, and when the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway is in town.

There is a paid parking lot directly next to Southern Charm, but that lot is privately operated and is not owned, operated, or affiliated with Southern Charm.

For guests with disabilities, there is one handicap-accessible parking space behind our building available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are also two handicap-accessible spaces on the street directly in front of the restaurant.

If street parking is full, one option guests often overlook is the parking area near Blue Ridge City Hall at 480 W First St. It is a short walk from Southern Charm and can be a convenient alternative to searching for a space directly downtown.

Southern Charm does not currently accept reservations. We seat guests as tables become available. During busy weekends, holidays, and peak dining times, there may be a wait, so we recommend planning accordingly. For large parties, you can call ahead and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Guests must check in with our friendly hostess on the porch in person to join the waitlist. Our front porch and outside tables can accommodate guests if there is a wait. You can also order drinks with our hostess if you'd like. Enjoy the scenery, kick back, and relax—it's all part of the Southern Charm experience.

There are many great options, and guest favorites include Ronnie's Fried Chicken, Mama's Meatloaf, Shrimp & Grits, and Country Fried Steak. Our local trout has been making waves too. For starters, you can't go wrong with some Fried Green Tomatoes, and for dessert try our Peach Cobbler or Southern Bread Pudding.

Southern Charm serves breakfast/brunch on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Absolutely. Southern Charm offers a dedicated selection of gluten-free options, including salads, burgers with a gluten-free bun, grilled chicken, pork chops, trout, shrimp, vegetables, and shrimp & grits.

Because our kitchen handles ingredients containing gluten, we cannot guarantee a completely gluten-free environment. Please let your server know about your dietary needs so we can help you make appropriate selections.

Yes! We offer a kids' menu, high chairs or boosters, and a family-friendly environment.

Yes. We have a stepless entrance at the rear of our building. You can drive around to the back, where you'll see a sign on the back door indicating where to enter. Our restrooms are also wheelchair accessible.

Yes. Southern Charm offers takeout and online ordering. During our busiest periods, especially around the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway's return, online ordering may be limited or temporarily unavailable as we focus on serving guests in the restaurant.

Southern Charm is located in downtown Blue Ridge at 224 West Main Street, making it a convenient option for visitors spending the day downtown or riding the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. We are just steps from the train station! During train days, we recommend allowing extra time for parking and dining because downtown can become especially busy when the train returns.

We serve a variety of beer, wine, seltzers, and local ciders.

We have two picnic tables and one high-top table available on a first-come, first-served basis. If guests wish to dine at the outside tables, they must order their food to go and take it to the table. We cannot offer full service at our outside tables.

Yes! We offer 6 or 12 biscuits to go with apple butter. We also sell our apple butter in small or large jars.

Dogs are not allowed in the dining room. Guests may order food to go and eat at the outdoor picnic tables with their pets.
